MPUSD's Rental Assistance Program housed 22 families
In 2023, MPUSD’s (Monterey Peninsula United School District) Rental Assistance Program and the National Center for Youth Law established a pilot program to support unhoused families with students in the MPUSD district. Other organizations soon joined the effort. By July 2024, $120,000 was raised 22 MPUSD families (Monterey Peninsula United School District) had been housed.
ABOUT US
CERV of the Monterey Peninsula is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization with a mission to support local CERT programs, build public awareness about emergency preparedness, and promote the community's capacity to respond to natural disasters and man-made emergencies. CERV supports local CERT programs and community preparedness through networking, grant writing, workshops, collaborating with local organizations, co-sponsoring community events and operating a countywide emergency readiness campaign for the most vulnerable populations.
